I am writing to thank you most sincerely for your company’s generosity in providing scaffolding at a very reasonable price. We have a good team of volunteer leaders and it is great when our group is further helped by local businesses. Your contribution to our wonderful new premises will be acknowledged in our list of contributors. The headquarters is now is use and greatly appreciated by the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Guides. Although not quite finished internally (this work being undertaken by volunteers) the end is in sight and we hope to have an official opening in the autumn. Once again, thank you for your support.

I am writing this letter to comment on work recently undertaken for Riverside Players by Steve Allen of Sound Scaffolding in connection with our outdoor production of the musical, Oliver! at Eynsford Castle, a site owned by English Heritage. Sound Scaffolding were engaged to erect a canopy over seating for 532 people, which was approximately 18 metres wide and 11 metres deep. They were also asked to create a large stage area, which was to be covered with scaffold boards. As the period allowed by English Heritage to do this and erect a set was very short, it was vital that the work be done to a strict timetable; Sound Scaffolding did this to perfection. While at the same time, they provided a number of ramps for access to the stage which were not part of the original plan. Had they not done this all to schedule, the short period allowed for the cast of 96 people to rehearse on stage would have been reduced from the minimum time allowed, with knock on effects to the performance. Put quite simply, Sound Scaffolding were the best we have ever used and I commend them to any other group or organisation planning an outdoor event of a similar kind.
